I'm new to this forum, and new to the Love and Logic technique as well. My husband and I are living in Germany (he's in the military) and we are excited to start using L&L with our two boys, aged 2 yrs and 10 months! Our 2 year old is a super-sensitive, sweet child who is generally well-behaved but also can be quite bossy (particularly with dad). Our 10 month old is a happy, outgoing and very self-confident baby who is most likely going to be the one who will end up testing us the most!
After watching a couple of videos and reading the Early Childhood book, I have to say that this method sounds very familiar and feels like it will come more or less natural to me. Although I do have a lot to learn, such as offering more choices and coming up with the right consequences. I also have some self-doubt and guilt issues to overcome, like whether or not I'm being too hard on my 2 year old. He's so sensitive (and so am I) that I sometimes find myself getting caught up in his sad or angry emotion and identifying with it too much. That said, I am ready to do right by him and his brother by making ours a L&L household!
